I would like first of all to say thank you so much for all the letters, cards and messages I have received from so many of you.  Somehow I just didn't get round to actually putting the building on the market.  Now, I realise, without Alan, there is no structure in my life.  I have decided to re-furbish the gallery, tailoring it to be easier to cope with, not using the upper floor and opening up again very shortly.  I will be keeping the same artists with the addition of two new ones.  This, however, means I will not have time to up-date the web-site until the gallery is sorted, so please bear with me.

Alan's funeral was very good, if one can ever use that word in the circumstances, but with a twist.  As I was waiting in the car after the church service to move off to the crematorium, a bundle of tissue paper was pushed into my hands through the open window, with the words:- 'I've kept this for forty years but now it is time to give it to you.'  It was the top of the champagne bottle which launched the 'Nonsuch'.  Alan had searched for it at the time and been quite annoyed that he couldn't find it, (always a treasured item).  Having nowhere to put it, it went into my daughter Mandy's handbag, and so accompanied him on his last journey.  'Nonsuch' was the ship which he held specially dear and I felt that it was very fitting to end with this.  Had Alan been able to reply I wouldn't have wanted to be within earshot!
